Material requirements — Semiconductor & Display

6 requirements
01Low extractables & purityIonic and outgassing contamination must be minimal. Unfilled PEEK is the baseline material.
02Chemical resistanceMust resist long-term exposure to acidic and alkaline wet-process chemistries and cleaning solutions.
03High-temperature dimensional stabilityNo deformation at bake and heat-treatment temperatures — addressed with fibre-reinforced grades.
04Precision tolerancesWafer-contact parts require low, uniform moulding shrinkage.
05Wear resistance & low particulationSliding handling components must not generate wear particles.
06Component identificationColour coding prevents parts being mixed between lines and generations.

Frequently asked questions

PEEK. Its 260°C continuous use temperature, resistance to most acids, bases and organic solvents and low extractables make it standard for wafer carriers, chemical-contact parts and plasma-exposed components. Octud supplies the full Joyrun PEEK range from Korean stock.

Choose unfilled K10G where purity, low extractables and toughness matter most; choose carbon-fibre K10CA30 or glass-fibre K10GL30 where high-temperature stiffness and precision tolerances dominate. Carbon-fibre grades are electrically conductive, so glass fibre is the choice where insulation is required.

Yes. Joyrun PEEK offers grades matched to Victrex® 450G, 450GL30, 450CA30, 450FC30 and 450FE20. Tell us the grade you currently use and we will provide a property comparison table and evaluation samples.

We recommend bearing grades with low friction and wear in unlubricated service — K10LF30 (carbon fibre, graphite and PTFE) or K10FE20 (20% PTFE, self-lubricating). Share your load and speed conditions and we will select the right grade.
