Ultrason® S 3010
Higher-viscosity injection and extrusion grade of polysulfone (PSU). Offers greater toughness and chemical resistance than the standard grade, making it suitable for thick-walled parts and extruded profiles.
Read the food-contact listings above against drinking-water and non-food applications. This grade is BPA (bisphenol A)-based and therefore requires recertification for EU food contact under Regulation 2024/3190. For high-temperature food contact, consider PPSU (Ultrason® P 3010), made without BPA or BPS. Drinking-water contact and food filtration membranes fall outside the restriction.

PPSU vs PA baby bottles: heat, impact, sterilisation and safety margin on the datasheets
PPSU is the super-engineering plastic used in hospital instruments steam-sterilised thousands of times at 134°C and in aircraft cabin interiors. We set its datasheet against the transparent PA also used in baby bottles, on identical test methods, and explain in plain terms what the 'margin' left above boiling water is and why it matters.
